A friend came to see me this morning. He has not had anything to eat for three days and has had trouble keeping
water down. He was shivering and said he was very cold. Another friend came over and I said he should wait outside. There is a bench. I was franticly combing the web trying to find answers to the questions he had asked.

I asked him to move his chair back and he was angry. I was tiffed at him for not telling me he was sick before he made me a bowl of oatmeal and yogurt. I have diabetes and the most severe form of CFiDD. need to take more precautions. He went to the clinic and they did not give him script for Relenza or Tami Flu. THere is a form of discrimination where people in need of medicine are denied prescriptions for drugs that are not covered. He does work for people in the neighborhood and it is a very affluent neighborhood with a sprinkling of low income and seasonably unemployed people. There are many summerhouses that have crumbled or have been burned as rat warrens and there are alot of sick Vets , some of them homeless.

WHen my friend left, he had vanished.

I called the clinic. I have been seeing, or he me, a Doctor at the clinic who does not make house-calls, of course.
He always says he enjoys making the short drive out to my house. My veins are small as a newborn's and my
diabetes control need checking. If I was still able, I"d pack food up to him and ferret out the secrets of those hills.
There are springs and people who have an immediate need for water.

This is the still point of the turning world, the cynosure, where I need to keep my mind. Or my immobility will drive
me mad. My personality is trapped more than if I were dead. I have a CDC Jpg that shows twenty microbes that are active now. IT opened itself and is pasted on my desktop--I only opened it.

You have to test them in live humans, and they have been tested and they work. Reducing virulence and the length of infection will slow the progress of an epidemic. I imagine some arrogant idiot putting it in a petrie dish and because the pathogens did not die, he threw the dish in the medical waste disposal and closed the case.
